Rules and Procedures

Rules and Procedures

Fourth grade is a special time, full of new beginnings, new friends and new learning opportunities. My philosophy towards education is that every child can learn if taught in a way that is conducive to his or her learning style, and everyone will have the opportunity to blossom.  My goal for the class is to set a foundation for the creation of lifelong learners. I want to encourage your child to learn how to interact with other students in positive ways and become independent thinkers! I hope that your child is looking forward to a warm, inviting classroom experience.

During the first few weeks of school, I will explain and model all rules and procedures with students. This is their time to get to know my expectations. I use a variety of methods to reinforce positive behavior, including Class Dojo. This is a free program that is not only a way to check on our student’s behavior throughout the day, but it will also serve as a communication tool. This is the easiest and best way to keep in touch with me. Students will be rewarded with points for positive behaviors and lose points for behaviors that need improvement. Please sign up for class dojo so you can monitor your child’s behavior!
